Jolene Janke

Music Coordinator

My husband and I own and operate a dairy farm a mile and a half south of Humbird.  We have 6 adult children and have been members of St. Joseph’s Parish-Fairview, since we were married in 1984.  I am a long-time member of the choir; and, since my friend and mentor Shirley Petznick retired as organist, I have tried to fill her shoes.  I have taught CCD for 34 years, and did the children’s Christmas pageant for 32 years.  My favorite song is "Joy to the World," because I believe, with Jesus, we can all find true joy!  I grew up in Stratford where I attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and Stratford High School.  My middle name is Geralyn after my patron saint, St. Gerard, since my mother prayed for his intercession when she was expecting me.  After high school I went to U.W.-Eau Claire where I studied Speech Pathology.  After graduation I worked on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota, as the Speech Therapist for the western half of Todd County.  Meeting my husband is what brought me back to Wisconsin and ultimately to St. Joseph’s Parish.
